Camps...Summer & Fall & March Break
Early Bird Special has been EXTENDED- Register and pay for summer camp 1/2 by March 15 and a cheque for 1/2 paid by April 30 and save $30!
Our camps are an experience to remember! Horses aren't just part of our camp, the are our camp. We have classes for beginner up to riders who are competing on the show circuit.
Daily hands-on activities include: (depending on age/level of rider) leading and haltering, safe horse-handling techniques, cleaning stalls and paddocks, grooming and feeding the horses, cleaning tack, as well as learning to ride safely and responsibly. Bring home memories of riding a favourite horse.
Off-horse activities include learning the breeds, colors and markings, basic horse anatomy, common illnesses and their treatment, styles of riding, naming parts of the saddle and bridle, etc. Puzzles, games and quizzes are used to enhance the riders' comprehension.
Raspberry Ridge has 400 acres of woods, ponds and trails for both riding and hiking. Also enjoy hugging a donkey or collecting fresh eggs in the morning. Making new friends. Discovering artistic talents. And most of all, having fun! The horses and ponies are happy and well taken care of. Our camp director is a Certified Level 3 English CHA coach.
